Marketer hatten noch nie so viel Macht. Ihre Kampagnen, die jetzt für verschiedene Geräte optimiert, für spezifische Zielgruppen verfeinert und weltweit verbreitet werden, haben das Potenzial, direkt zu den Menschen zu sprechen, die die Marken erreichen wollen. Es ist eine Gelegenheit, gute Ideen weiter zu verbreiten und das Markenimage weltweit zu fördern.

Aber eine Kampagne mit so vielen verschiedenen Berührungspunkten zu verwalten, ist kompliziert. Wenn die Bedeutung der Bereitstellung kulturell sensibler Botschaften hinzukommt, ist die Herausforderung, eine erfolgreiche globale Kampagne zu koordinieren – bei der das Kreative, der Medienplan und die Formate alle lokal angemessen sind – überwältigend. Wie David Kassler von Tag, der sich in Cannes mit Jillian Gibbs von APR Co, Keven Lembert von Comcast und mir für PeachLive im Drum Arms getroffen hat, bemerkte: Es ist nicht so einfach, nur Ihre „große Idee“ zu „übersetzen“ und zu erwarten, dass sie bei allen Zielgruppen ankommt. 

Die Antwort, so das Podium, liegt in Technologie und lokaler Expertise. Durch die Zentralisierung und Automatisierung von Inhalten in einem zentralen Hub können Versionen einfach überprüft, verwaltet und verteilt werden, und das Kreative kann so angepasst werden, dass relevante, lokalisierte Inhalte an jeden Markt geliefert werden können. Technologie macht es möglich, mit der Nachfrage von sozialen Medien und Online-Verlegern Schritt zu halten und relevante Inhalte zu fördern, die die Menschen engagiert halten. 

Jillian Gibbs, CEO von „Production Optimists“ APR Co, ist der Ansicht, dass die Branche Prozesse vereinfachen und Marketingteams die Zusammenarbeit mit Akteuren auf der ganzen Welt ermöglichen muss. Ihrer Meinung nach müssen Teams, um voranzukommen, „Wert und Wirkung über bloße Kosten wählen, den Unterschied zwischen Geschichtenerzählen und Massenressourcen verstehen und Change Management für ihre Teams und über ihr gesamtes Ökosystem hinweg annehmen.“
