People with hearing disabilities (ranging from mild to severe) represent around 25% of the French population, around 17 million people. It’s a similar story for audio-description: people with medium to severe visual impairments represent almost 2 million people in France. So, when advertisers don’t CC or AD an ad, they miss this substantial audience.
